Legal basis: Previous Data Protection Act (valid until 31.08.2023)

Today, the new entirely revised Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) enters into force. Thereby, the Schengen Data Protection Law, which implemented the Regulation (EU) 2016/680, is being abrogated. The rules of Regulation (EU) are included in the new FADP.
