Convictions increased for minors and decreased for adults in 2023
Neuchâtel, 18.6.2024 - In 2023, 23 080 judgments of minors were pronounced – an increase of 11% compared with 2022. Judgments for offences under the Criminal Code rose by 5%, continuing an upward trend that began in 2015. For adults, the criminal records registered 102 822 convictions for an offence or crime, declining slightly compared with 2022 (–1.4%). These are some of the findings from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
