Update Proximity Tracing App
In Switzerland, a proximity tracing app based on the decentralised approach of "DP-3T" is to be introduced. Even though far less information is stored centrally than with a centralised approach, the system architecture needs a so-called back end with server.
The Corona Task Force of the FDPIC has examined the technical implementation in the back end of the planned «Proximity Tracing-Application (PTAPP)». In its assessment, the FDPIC comes to the conclusion that the data processing taking place there, is proportionate. He is currently examining the draft of an Ordinance of the Federal Council on the PTAPP and the legal basis on which it is based.
In addition, the FDPIC is preparing an overall assessment for the PTAPP in the form of a report, which combines the previous partial assessments and supplements them with further aspects.
